Ramon Molina Lijauco, Jr. is a conductor based both in the Philippines and Thailand conducting two internationally renowned choirs, The Philippine Meistersingers (2011 Choir of the World and recipient of Luciano Pavarotti Trophy) and the Suanplu Chorus. He also directs the nationally recognized chorus, PAGCOR Voice Symphony. In 2005 he was granted the US Congressional Merit of Excellence in Performance, and in 2012, a Philippine Congressional Proclamation for his contribution to Philippine Music. He received the 2019 Jayne Davies Prize (Most Outstanding Conductor) at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, and he is also a national awardee of the 2020 Ani ng Dangal (Harvest of Honors) given at the Malacañang Palace.
He is a composition student of the Philippine National Artist for Music, Maestro Lucio San Pedro. His commissioned works have been performed by various international choirs. As conductor, adjudicator, choral clinician, and composer, he has extensively traveled throughout Asia, USA, Canada, UAE, UK, and Europe. He is now finishing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting.
