Yosefano F. Ardani

Indonesian Composer-Conductor, Yosefano Febrian Ardani is the manager, conductor, and orchestrator of PCU Orchestra, the orchestra team of Petra Christian University. He is also the conductor of the Church Choir of Gereja Reformed Injili Indonesia (GRII) Kertajaya Surabaya, the Agape Choir from Gereja Kristen Abdiel (GKA) Gloria Satelit Surabaya, the Children’s Choir of Gereja Kristus Tuhan (GKT) Nazareth Surabaya, and the Surabaya Reformed Evangelical Youth Choir (SREY Choir). He pioneered the Church Choir of Gereja Reformed Injili Indonesia (GRII) Gempol as well for two years from 2020. As an arranger and orchestrator, Yosefano has written for Petra Christian University Choir, St. Louis High School Choir, Surabaya Christian Festival Chorus, Asian Medical Students’ Association – Indonesia, Malaysian Institute of Art, and many more. In 2020, he collaborated in the Seoul Jazz Festival as an arranger with some Korean jazz musicians such as Jun-Hyuk Choi and Yohan Kim. He is also a speaker in church music seminars and choral clinics in some churches in Indonesia.
Yosefano started his music journey in 2015 at the Petra Christian University (PCU) Choir under the guidance of Aprilia W. Takasenserang, Rubin Lukito, and Aris Sudibyo. He has served as PCU Choir’s coach assistant from 2017. He routinely performs in the PCU Choir Vocal Recital, held by the Church Music Development Center in Petra Christian University Surabaya. He and Petra Chorale (the alumni team of PCU Choir, directed by Aris Sudibyo) actively serve and edify many churches and communities across provinces in Indonesia. They achieved 1st place in The Tenth International Jean Sibelius Festival 2022, Finland, which was led by conductor Paskalis Maria Onny Prihantono.
Yosefano develops his vocal as Countertenor under the tutelage of Indonesian Tenor, Ganda Charisma Kristi. He attended vocal masterclasses with Dr. Samuel Cheung from Singapore, Catharina Leimena and Binu Doddy Sukaman from Indonesia, including a U.S. based Malaysian Countertenor, Dr. Wee Kiat Chia. He also attended composition courses and workshops with Robert Delgado and Ily Matthew Maniano from Philippines, Dr. Mohd Fairuz Zamani from Malaysia, Ken Steven and Agus Teja Sentosa (well-known as Gus Teja, the Balinese flautist) from Indonesia, also with an American composer and conductor, Dr. Michael John Trotta. Yosefano’s compositions and arrangements have been published by choral publishers such as Muziksea (based in Singapore) and j.b.music Musikverlag (Germany)
