Tan Miao Yun

Tan Miao Yun was born in Seremban, Malaysia. She graduated with a Diploma in Music from the Malaysian Institute of Arts (M.I.A). 

She started her vocal studies under the tutelage of Dr Ang Mei Foong and piano performance as her second study under the tutelage of Dr Lok and Ms Nicole Yap.

In 2016, Miao Yun obtained her Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from the University of Xiangnan, China.

Miao Yun was an active choir member of the award-winning Malaysian Institute of Arts (M.I.A) Ladies Chorus and has participated in various international choral performances and competitions under the tutelage of Ms Susanna Saw. These performances and competitions allowed Miao Yun to travel to many countries such as the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Australia, etc.

In 2018, she completed The Australian Kodály Certificate in Music Education Primary Level III and in the following year, participated in a choral composition masterclasses with Dr Zechariah Goh. 

She is currently a music teacher and vocal coach at Yu Hua primary school and she is also assisting Ms Susanna Saw as Assistant Conductor of the award-winning Malaysian Institute of Arts (M.I.A) Ladies Chorus.
