Charles Voo

Charles Voo obtained his Diploma in Music from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) in 2017 where he majored in piano and minored in classical voice.
He also holds a certificate in Music Education (Primary Level 3) from the Australian Kodaly Institute and has attended arranging classes with Zechariah Goh in 2019. Charles is currently assisting Ms Susanna Saw as Assistant Conductor of the Malaysian Institute of Art Men’s Chorus.
During his studies at MIA, Charles was active in numerous performances with various ensembles. He was a member of the Malaysian Institute of Art Mixed Choir, a violinist in the college orchestra and President of Men In Action, Men’s Chorus of MIA in 2016. Notable concert performances include Malaysian Mosaic Music, MIA Ladies Choir ‘Precious’, Musical Rendezvous, to name but a few.
As a versatile performer, he was a member of the Kuala Lumpur City Opera Chorus where he has sung in several productions including La Boheme, and La Fille Du Regiment and sang in the OperaKUL Festival. Charles has also travelled to the Philippines, China, South Korea and many other countries with different choirs, participating in numerous events and festivals. In 2017, Charles was the piano accompanist of the MIA Ladies Chorus at the international choral festival in Hainan, China.
