Di Ba? [Isn't It?] (SATB)

The Leyte-Samar Studies Journal of the Divine Word University describes “Di Ba?” or “Isn’t It?” as one of the numerous folk songs of Eastern Visayas. Like most folk songs, its original composer is unknown. Its plot conveys a delightful and almost jocular narrative of a male singer who claims to have lost the love of his life. Sung from the perspective of that male singer, the song whimsically tells listeners about how the object of his affection used to love, spoil, and pamper him. Apparently, the love and attention that she once gave have faded away.
